FastMig X tackles the challenges of thin materials
Both Kemppi Italy's team and local Kemppi dealer, Arcosald, knew that the perfect solution for Socage’s welding needs was FastMig X. It is a multi-process CC/CV power source that is ideal for synergic and pulsed MIG/MAG as well as TIG, and stick welding (MMA). Supplied with WFX-T wire feeders, the FastMig X forms a welding system that easily meets every welding need and the quality management requirements of any metal fabrication workshop.
After various tests and demonstrations, Kemppi delivered 10 FastMig X 350 to Socage. Having used them now for several months, the welders are very satisfied with how the welding machines are performing.
In order to ensure that the highest quality standards are achieved, Socage also decided to use only Kemppi’s original consumables. This choice was necessary in order to tackle their main challenge: material overheating. Most of the metals used are high-strength steel like S700, S900, and S1200. As stated by the welders in the production area:
"When you weld thin materials, they tend to overheat and deform so we need to be sure we are using the best resources we can get."
