We are committed to UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
The UN has defined 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the aim of ensuring a sustainable future, eradicating poverty and hunger, and promoting peace and social justice while keeping everyone on board.
Companies are able to have a significant impact on how people and the environment are treated and how wealth is distributed in society. Companies therefore have an important role to play in achieving the SDGs.
In 2022, we looked at which of the sustainable development goals Kemppi can promote in its own business. On the basis of this review, we have identified three United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) that best connect to our operations and that we see we can contribute to. We strive to increase the positive impact of our operations and to reduce the negative effects and thus contribute to the achievement of selected goals.
On the basis of this review, we highlighted the following objectives:
- 8 Decent work and economic growth,
- 9 Industry, innovation and infrastructure and
- 12 Responsible consumption and production
