Kemppi acquires Italian Trafimet Group to strengthen its position in welding aftermarkets
Kemppi has acquired 100% share of the Italian welding torch manufacturer Trafimet Group S.P.A. The contract was signed in Italy on Friday March 1st. Both companies will continue as separate businesses.
WeldEye mobile application enhances welding quality control and Industry 4.0 integration
Kemppi launches a new mobile application for its universal welding management software, WeldEye, on 4 March 2019. The application acts as a mobile user interface for the cloud-based software and offers a new set of tools for welding professionals to manage welding quality, production processes, and productivity in a more efficient way.
Extreme extension with X8 SuperSnake
X8 SuperSnake, the newest addition to Kemppi's SuperSnake subfeeder product family, combines the outstanding benefits of its original predecessor with X8 MIG Welder’s modern technology and precise arc control. Available in water-cooled models that extend a welding gun’s regular reach with up to 25 meters, the X8 SuperSnake guarantees reliable wire feed assist and durable use.

Kemppi and SSAB join forces in digitalizing steel material information in welding production
Welding digitalization pioneer Kemppi and global steel company SSAB have successfully integrated their cloud-based WeldEye and SmartSteel platforms to streamline base material information handling in welding production. The results of the successful pilot are now available for all companies that are currently using both digital platforms.
Extreme performance up to 600 A
X8 MIG Welder’s most powerful power sources are now available for customers. The new X8 Power Source 600 and its multi-voltage version (600 MV) provide extreme performance and accuracy up to 600 A. Many useful functions have also been added to the system, including a free-of-charge double process functionality. In addition, X8 MIG Welder now supports a new Digital Work Order feature, enabled by native connectivity with WeldEye welding management software.
